Guestrooms unlike any others
When you enter each guestroom, you will cross a brightly polished mahogany foyer that introduces an opulent guestroom in old Charleston-style. Heavy plaster crown molding, original paintings, old-world decor and fine, rich fabrics await your stay. Exquisite mahogany furniture in each room features poster beds, marble topped bedside tables, a desk area and a sitting area. CD Player Alarm Clocks are located at the bedside table. High thread count Italian Frette linen sheeting and cashmere blankets cover the bed's deluxe mattresses. Some rooms provide balconies that overlook downtown Charleston's historic City Market. The double-paned windows open to welcome harbor breezes. These guestrooms feature, in the tradition of old Charleston, his and hers wardrobes. Some Luxury King guest rooms have balconies overlooking Market and East Bay streets. Luxury Kings are located on the second, third and fourth floors of the hotel.
Each Room Is A Unique Experience
Each Corner King is painted a unique Charleston color, accenting the plaster crown molding. Heavily tasseled silk draperies adorn the windows of each suite, matching the wall color, bedspread and chair fabrics. Corner Kings have a remarkable view of Market or East Bay streets. The Corner King on the fourth floor is available alone or as the guest bedroom of the Presidential Suite. All Corner King guests, no matter what floor they are on, enjoy the concierge level privileges, including morning breakfast, and evening hors d' oeuvres.
Looking for A Romantic Getaway?
The Terrace Suite, on the concierge level, is just the place for a romantic getaway. Decorated with a brilliant chandelier, king sized mahogany sleigh bed, pale yellow walls, and silk draperies and accents, this room invites a romantic and relaxing stay. It features a desk area, large windows and (of course) a large, private outdoor terrace, perfect for celebratory champagne or leisurely breakfast. Guests of the Terrace Suite enjoy concierge level amenities.
The Lap of Luxury
Located on the concierge level, the Presidential suite features two king bedrooms, two and one-half baths a living area with brilliant chandeliers and sconces. This 2,000-sq.-ft. suite spans the front of the Market Pavilion Hotel along East Bay Street. It hosts a stately view of the historic Customs House and Charleston Harbor, providing windows that open to soothing sea breezes. The living room features a baby grand piano, bar, formal living area in 1800s colonial design, secretary desk at the window and mahogany dining table. An ideal room for entertaining, a bartender and fully stocked bar is provided upon request, as is a pianist. Personal butler service is also available.

Aah, the lap of luxury, it may seem extravagant and unheard of to build an outdoor pool high above the treetops in historic Downtown Charleston.
