Nestled on a hill above La Jolla is Villa de la Joy. Everything about this home is magnificent and the view of the Sea of Cortez is spectacular. There is plenty to enjoy on this property whether it is one of the amenities the 10,000 sq foot villa offers or the ? acre of lush tropical gardens and large pool area.
The amenities include whale watching from your terraces, traditional canterra columns and sculptured features including unique statues, custom furnishings, exquisite landscaping, ? acre property with croquet course, library/TV room/conference room, 10 separate air condition units, three fireplaces, three wet bars, gated entry to property, 21 ceiling fans, custom furniture, 2 stereo systems with outdoor speakers, large swimming pool with Jacuzzi, and sauna and steam rooms on lower deck. There is also a new game room with ping-pong, pool table, and foosball. Bedrooms include 2 kings, 2 queens, and 2 twins
The villa has been recently updated with ceiling fans and zoned air-conditioning units. The great room has a vaulted ceiling and opens out onto the lower terrace and pool. There are several sun-beds and patio furniture to make your out door experience enjoyable and comfortable. The large pool contains an inbuilt spa and there is a Jacuzzi on the level below. This level is also where the exercise and games room can be found. For the competitive guest foosball, table-tennis and pool tables are provided, as well as a wet-bar, fridge, sauna and steam room. There is also croquet set for play on the lawn above.
The main house is 2 levels with 4 bedrooms each with a separate bathroom. The 5th bedroom has a queen bed and is off the kitchen and shares a bathroom with the rest of the lower floor. The kitchen is fully equipped with Viking and Sub-zero appliances and opens onto a formal dining area. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, including one master bedroom and a den with satellite TV, VCR and a collection of movies and books.
