Description of Sagaponack Oceanfront Cottage:
This Sagaponack oceanfront house is located on a private driveway (Gibsons End) at the foot of Gibson Lane (Gibson Beach), one half mile from the Sagaponack General Store and Post Office. This historic beach house was originally a grain shed (bedroom 2) from the early 1800's that was moved from the Gardiner B. Topping Farm.
In 1992, after damage to the foundation from The Perfect Storm (Oct 31, 1991), the cottage was moved off of the dune and relocated 100 feet north. Several decks were added, as well as a kitchen, master bedroom, master bath and completely new well/plumbing system.
The horse pasture to the north and the ocean to the south complete the total vacation environment. Beds: 2 queens (1 in master bedroom, 1 in BR2), 4 XL twins (2 in BR3, 2 in loft), 2 futons (in sunroom).
