The restaurant has four separate candle-lit, silver laden dining rooms: the elegant main dining room with Hunky Page behind the piano, the bar room with a cozy fireplace and beautiful wooden bar for those cold winter evenings, the Victorian Drew Room with prints of Lincoln and Washington and the atrium (garden room) with a skylight and intimate atmosphere ? all romantic and cozy settings for a wonderful dining experience.
The American Hotel features an award-winning, inventive, "American-French" cuisine all its own and is led by the exceptional talents of Executive Chef Peter Dunlop, assisted by Robert Siu. The menus feature creative dishes that bring the enticing flavors of France, Italy, America and Asia to the table. The menus change with the seasons and is always an eclectic blend of local and imported produce. The American Hotel restaurant offers one of the most extensive menus in the Hamptons which appeals to all appetites and tastes.
Our 85 page (1700 selections) award-winning wine list is a Wine Spectator "Grand Award" winner and is a meticulous selection of wine gems from around the globe.

Located in the heart of Sag Harbor, The American Hotel is walking distance from all the town's shops, restaurants, art galleries, and marinas. Guests can enjoy the town's glorious beaches and historic sights, and engage in any number of activities, from golf, tennis, bicycling and horseback riding to deep sea fishing. Best of all, savor a dinner in the hotel's restaurant, and taste some of the fantastic wines from its enormous wine list

All rates quoted are per room per night.
A 8.75% New York State sales tax is additional to all rates quoted.
All rooms are double occupancy either with Queen size, King size or twin beds and they are all the same rate. The eight rooms are all very different with their individual character and charm but they offer exactly the same amenities. (See "Rooms" for a list of amenities) Because we only have the eight rooms, we encourage interested guests to reserve well in advance to avoid disappointment.
Breakfast
We include continental breakfast in the rate, including fresh fruit, juices, coffee, tea, muffins and pastries.
